Completely disagree, specifically regarding Gordes. Our favourite place to visit in the south, in fact. Late May and there are some tourists, but we viewed none of the buses you described. The busiest we saw the area was Tuesday, and being Market day one could expect that.

Me thinks you may be trying to save this place as your own...

I agree with your comments in principal nand as a resident of Gordes we would all prefer the coaches to move elsewhere. Eating out in Gordes has to be on the basis on an unhurried adventure, ignoring the histlr and bustle around you and enjoy the food and excellent wines. Not all the restuarants are expensive if you are to fully appreciate Gordes you must walk down into the valley where you will find flora and fauna of absolute majesty. 35 degrees, yes it may seem hot to some but take it easy, do not rush and explore the back strets of the villages as well as the centre.

Gordes is the most wonderful of villages and everyone who lives there is very proud it. Do not forget to visit the market on a Tuesday.
