Quality of butter is very important

I found this butter at our local fromagerie “De Kaaskamer” (Runstraat 7, Amsterdam). It is very good butter. Hard to go back to the ordinary stuff in the supermarket.

    I bought a fancy French butter at the Rainbow Grocery here in San Francisco. I was making a Greek custard pie and thought a fine butter would be a nice touch to the phyllo crust. Oh my. I am now hooked on beautiful, pricey French butters!
