Apples and Oranges: French operator to sell Mac Books

Posted: 14 December 2006 in Technology

I just posted the Apple-Orange announcement on Muniwireless. Orange, the French mobile operator, will sell DSL broadband service bundled with a Mac Book for 2 EUR per day. That is cheaper than an espresso in Paris and definitely less than the average French student’s daily cigarette budget. Orange is targeting young people with this offering, which, if successful in France, they will roll out in other European countries. Orange already offers bundled VOIP and DSL service here in the Netherlands for 30 EUR per month (20 Mbps downstream).
