I received Plaxo when I signed up with Comcast to build an address book so I could use it remotely.
After I built a group, named it then tried to simply check the contacts i wanted to add to the group, it kept coming back as "X # of contacts added to undefined". But no contacts appear in my group. After much frustration i called comcast who informed me I would hve to contact Plaxo. I tried a chat session the first time but the Plaxo chat person hung up on me while I was trying to explain my problem, I ran out of the number of characters I was allowed. I went into chat agin, explained my problem and asked if I tried this with another Browser, I said no, he replied to download Firefox and try it, I said okay and went that route. I had Goggle Chrome, tried it but same results. I then called and got another person, told him what I tried, he suggested a few more tries differently, which also didn't work and then said it's their software problem and he will refer it higher to correct the problem. i have tried the software again and the problem still exists which leads me to beleive that it was just his way of getting rid of me, and has no clue on how to fix it.

I agree that Plaxo is worthless. They can't even allow me multiple email identities. So I get invitations on the various email addresses that I use and can't combine them

epic fail

I'm glad i read this forum before signing up for plaxo. i read a review last year in PC magazine, and the mag praised the site without mentioning any of the negatives. i only wanted to use plaxo for the calendar function. I'm disabled and my mother keeps my calendar for me. i wanted her to be able to do it easily online. I keep my freinds and other family in the loop with my blog.guess the calender will have be the one in gmail.

I agree. Plaxo is just like a wall where you put a name and some info, but it doesn't provide a good structure for contacting people and making a connections. It will die out soon.

I agree with the last comment. Plaxo is great for keeping friends, family, co-workers up to date as phone numbers and e-mails change. You can expose as much information as you want, so your business contacts don't see your personal information. If people ask to connect to you that you don't recognize, you just ignore the request or don't connect with them - its that simple. I don't see much value in Plaxo as a networking site.

Plaxo is great for keeping up with friends and co-workers, and I think thats really all it was intended to be/do. Its easier to stay connected than thru regular email. Its not brain surgery, but its a no frills connection to people you want to stay connected with. It is what it is people.

Well, I don't think LinkedIn is a waste of time, but Plaxo is. They have set a limit at 1000 connections and what's more, have blocked access to my account. Now, thet is a waste of time!
