I received Plaxo when I signed up with Comcast to build an address book so I could use it remotely.
After I built a group, named it then tried to simply check the contacts i wanted to add to the group, it kept coming back as "X # of contacts added to undefined". But no contacts appear in my group. After much frustration i called comcast who informed me I would hve to contact Plaxo. I tried a chat session the first time but the Plaxo chat person hung up on me while I was trying to explain my problem, I ran out of the number of characters I was allowed. I went into chat agin, explained my problem and asked if I tried this with another Browser, I said no, he replied to download Firefox and try it, I said okay and went that route. I had Goggle Chrome, tried it but same results. I then called and got another person, told him what I tried, he suggested a few more tries differently, which also didn't work and then said it's their software problem and he will refer it higher to correct the problem. i have tried the software again and the problem still exists which leads me to beleive that it was just his way of getting rid of me, and has no clue on how to fix it.

For Ganagobie, go to: http://www.ndganagobie.com

It's in French but I'm sure you can figure it out. To find out the time and date of masses, vespers, etc., look on the right hand side of the home page in the box called "Informations" - Calendrier Liturgique du mois. When you click on that link you will be asked to download a PDF with the month's liturgical calendar.

For other churches in and around Forcalquier, where Ganagobie is located, go to:
http://www.forcalquier.com/principaux_monuments_en.html

The best thing to do is when you get there, find out from the tourist office of Forcalquier, when and where there are concerts.

I'm visiting Provence the first 3 weeks of September. I would love to hear chants, attend prayer services- Matins, Vespers, while I'm there. I will look into Ganagobie as you said you heard chant here. (I would also love to see the Mosaics.) I haven't found any schedules of services or prayer times. Any advice? Also looking for a place to attend Sunday Mass. I'll be there for 3 Sundays.
Thank you in advance!

Comment on Mixed feelings, mostly despair, on the closing of Borders bookstores in San Francisco by Fields Book Store

There are still a few quirky bookstores left in San Francisco, though with the pending closures of A Different Light, potentially Modern Times, and perhaps Adobe, things are pretty precarious. Independent bookstores can only thrive if people shop there.

Fields Book Store continues at our 1419 Polk St location for the time being, having been here since 1932. For those unfamiliar with the store, we specialize in metaphysical and spiritual subjects, from the major monotheisms, to yoga and Jungian psychology, Renaissance philosophy, ceremonial magic, left-hand path, mysticism, and much much more. We have frequent author events at the store. We're also on the web at www.fieldsbooks.com. You can also follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fieldsbooks

However, we too have been struggling during the economic downturn. Our lease has just expired, and our future at this location will depend on our landlords' willingness to work with us on a more affordable lease. And it will also depend on whether ongoing sales cover our costs, so every bit of business helps. We gladly do special orders, even for books outside of our usual subject areas, and most books we can get in within two days of our order (others typically in a week.) We place our orders on Wednesdays and Sundays, and receive the books on Fridays and Tuesdays. If you'd like to check stock on a title or order a book, give us a call at 415-673-2027.

We're open Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 to 6, and we invite you to drop by and browse. We're currently offering 20% off on all used books with a "M" code, which can be found both in the general used books in the back, and in the sections.

If you enjoy spiritual subjects and live in the East Bay, please consider visiting Sunrise Bookshop at 3054 Telegraph (at Prince) in Berkeley. They're a fine small shop with an excellent used book selection, with a very friendly and very knowledgeable proprietor, and they are near to closing their doors as well, currently looking for a buyer.

Your local independent bookstores are here to serve your literary needs, but we can only survive with your continued patronage. And we thank you for it.

We hope to see you soon.
