Tour de France 2007: Contador keeps lead, Leipheimer wins stage

What an exciting stage! The last time trial (Cognac to Angouleme) is a battle among three guys: Leipheimer who did better than Evans and Contador. Leipheimer wins this stage.

The Classement General as of the end of the time trial today:

1. Alberto Contador: 87 h 09 min 18 sec

2. Cadel Evans: +23 sec

3. Levi Leipheimer: +31 sec

The differences are only in seconds. Contador looks to be the Tour winner, unless something bizarre happens. But still, both Evans and Leipheimer have a chance.

Meanwhile, Le Monde says Contador should have never been allowed to start the Tour because of too many questions concerning his involvement in the Puerto doping scandal, which have not been resolved.
